Union is a specialist integrator of data storage and virtualised computing infrastructures. We manage programs of change that drive optimisation in and around the datacentre, enabling IT organisations to closely align IT infrastructure services with application and business requirements. Something we as a team have been doing for ten years.

Key to our approach is Service Measurement – it is a core competency for any service oriented infrastructure (SOI). CIOs are measured by results and so our infrastructures are built with outputs in mind. These typically take the form of cost, risk, and service level. We not only determine what metrics to measure but provide the tools to measure them, plus of course establish a baseline of current state to measure against.

Every customer is assigned a Client Manager. Client Managers are former delivery professionals that know their stuff. This way we cut through the spin, and quickly get to what’s wrong and how to fix it. You get bright ideas and professional advice for free.

We make our money from the solutions you buy and from developing a long term trusted relationship together. Union has relationships with all the major vendors and leading innovators. By taking a vendor neutral position we build solutions that meet your business needs.

Our History

Union was established in 2006 following a management buy-out from Glasshouse Technologies UK. Its business origins began in 1999 with the formation of Source Consulting, the UK’s leading specialist integrator of storage data management solutions. Many of our customers have been working with its founders ever since.
